Hereford State Bank Announces Name Change

HEREFORD, Texas, June 30, 2010 – Hereford State Bank, along with the other nine banks in the First Financial Family of Banks was recently recognized when BANK DIRECTOR MAGAZINE named First Financial Bankshares, Inc. as the BEST BANK IN TEXAS and # 2 in the nation compared to banks with assets of $3 billion or more.

"In celebration of this outstanding achievement and in order to better align itself with the rest of the First Financial family in preparation of potential expansion opportunities, Hereford State Bank will change its name to First Financial Bank, subject to final regulatory approval, in June." announced Mike Mauldin, Chairman, CEO and President of Hereford State Bank.  

"We have more and more customers who enjoy the convenience of being able to bank at any of our 48 locations across the state." said Mauldin.  "Even though it’s a new name, we will continue to be the same customer-focused, community-based bank with a local board of directors and a local bank president, who will continue to make local decisions. We will remain true to the values and fundamentals that have made us successful and will be the same bank and the same friendly people," Mauldin added.  "Our officers and employees will continue to serve our customers and be personally involved in and supportive of our community."
